Perhaps many of you have seen this terrific sculpture just off Georgia and Upshur. Unfortunately the sign explaining what it is has deteriorated. From what I could tell it was some sort of tribal sculpture but I wish I knew what the whole sign said. It is pretty cool, no?

A similar statues stands at 16th and Arkansas in honor of well, okay, I've read the plaque a gazillion times, but no, I don't remember the name.
