I just got this email from a friend of mine:

In my opinion, NO, it is not a good idea. I do not believe handguns and automatic weapons should be in private citizen's hands. I buy the rifle argument for hunting, but that's it. And the argument that these guns are in the hands of criminals so we should have them is crap - law enforcement should have made it harder 20 years ago for the black market on these, but they didn't. I think this ruling has terrible ramifications for the citizenry.
